Damn Hell's Gates! Hells Gates open into Burdekin River in north-eastern Queensland. A feasibility study is now underway to determine if the site should be dammed.
Hells Gates is located in Valley of Lagoons, named by the explorer Ludwig Leichhardt obviously because of all the lagoons in the valley.
