MOUNT HARDMAN, Western Australia

Mount the hard man.
Not far out of the outback town of Fitzroy Crossing in the Kimberley region of Western Australia, you'll find this empty, flat arid area called Mount Hardman. It has it's own postcode, though there are no houses to be found here. Evidently, it's named after Edward Hardman (1845-1887), a geologist who explored the Kimberley for gold. Hardman Point and Hardman Range are also named after him. Just down the road from Mount Hardman, you'll come across the Giant Baobab Tree, a minor tourist attraction and camping area.
