BAAN BAA, New South Wales

Although there are a lot of sheep around here, this small town's name has nothing to do with their cries. Baan Baa (pronounced "barn bar") translates to "swim away" in an aboriginal language. The town apparently used to be a lively little place but now it is not much more than a grain rail terminal with a population of around 200.
